Today we visit Seattle, Washington for a dog-friendly snapshot. A city know for coffee and craft beer, the history of this place runs deep. With familiar and long-revered establishments such as Pike’s Place and the Space Needle, there is no shortage of things to see and do.
Keeping with tradition, we will look at one hotel and one restaurant for this blog post. The hotel of the day is the dog-friendly downtown establishment of the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle. Pet friendly with a welcoming and knowledgeable staff, the Kimpton will have all your needs covered. A truly dog-friendly hotel, they offer many services that make this hotel a choice destination to take your pup.

This incredible establishment has been around for what seems like an eternity. The building, built in 1924 during prohibition, looks like it grew right up from the Seattle soil. The ownership has taken great care to maintain the building over the years and beautify the inside and outside seasonally. This establishment was one of the first places to receive a license after Prohibition, so it is an integral part of our history as a nation.
With 30 taps, cleaned daily, you are sure to find your perfect brew. With a tavern-style menu, you will find comfort in your meal, whether it is the chicken curry or the salmon burger. The owner, Mr. Sully, purchased the property in 1978 and has never looked back. He takes great pride in his work and loves his local clientele just as the visitors to the city (who might just become locals, themselves, after they visit his establishment!). He has worked hard to keep his menu affordable and accessible to all.
(Totally random - the restaurant sponsors a “pie joust” every year where two people on bicycles joust with pie. That might be my favorite thing…I want to do this now.)
The Instagram for Sully’s features dogs and others have tagged dogs if you do a search. The place is so welcoming to canines that is has just as much a reputation as a “Cheers for Dogs.” Your pup will feel like a celebrity here.
